Don't judge this album by the main definition of the word "Trash", as their music has nothing in common with that! Honestly, I can't remember how I was turned on to this band (surely wasn't the name), but my best guess is that I found them on a compilation album (Scandinavian Attack LP, 2 songs in this:
Trash – Watch Out 4:57
Trash – No More Rock Tonight 3:41
www.yperano.com/content/scandinavian-metal-attack-ultra-rare-greek-copy-...). They just happen to be another metal group which hails from northern Europe.
To my knowledge, TRASH/Burnin' Rock is the band's second album, and certainly their most successful. Every song is worth listening too, which is (ideally) what I look for in records. It's very obvious their music leans heavily on AC/DC's influence, while the lyrics seem reminiscent of David Coverdale's Whitesnake. Add Trash to the long list of Scandinavian artists that rock!
Just about every song features the hard rockin' guitar riffs that AC/DC is known for. Trash does add their own unique melodies and great back-up vocals. The best song is titled "I Can't Get The One (I want...)", and features a great mix of lyrics, tempo, and heavy guitars. I also really like the album's only ballad, "Take My Flight", which features some great vocals and keyboards to boot.
BOTTOM LINE:
Imagine AC/DC mixed with Whitesnake, and that would create Trash! Of course the band name refers to a state of mind, rather than their musical abilities. It's certainly worth looking for.
5.0 out of 5 stars I'M A BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
This sure rocks! Don't look for a ground breaking album here - just great "Hard Rock". All the songs sound at home in a garage with a bunch of blue collar guys working on old cars and drinking rec bev's. I love it.
5.0 out of 5 stars DONT LET THIS ONE GO !!!!!!!,
THIS LP ROCKS FROM START TO FINISH. THE SINGER SOUNDS LIKE
BRIAN JOHNSON OF ACDC. I GUARANTEE YOU IT WONT LEAVE YOUR TURNTABLE FOR A WHILE OR AT LEAST YOUR ROTATION.
THIS ONE IS A DIAMOND ! HOW WOULD IT STACK UP AGAINST ALL THE OTHER RELEASES IN 85. I WOULD SAY IN THE TOP 5.
ITS THAT DAMN GOOD.
