SKITZO: Got Sick CD w. guest musicians from Faith No More +Testament!! Anthrax and Motorhead meets S.O.D. and M.O.D.
SKITZO: Got Sick [Credits read: "Ingredients: hate, MSG, insanity, beaver, blood, metal". Heavy, thrashing, balls
of metal with a touch of controversy, sex, and humor." And Jim Martin (Faith No More) and Steve Smyth (Testament) make guest appearances on the album. California's Skitzo have several albums under their belt and had a now legendary stint on "The Jerry Springer Show" that got
Springer censored and banned in Canada. (Go figure, right?) Something to do with puking green stuff on a groupie. The music is heavy as hell and in your face. Think Anthrax and Motorhead meets S.O.D. and M.O.D. In fact, some of the drumming sounds like it was pulled straight from earlier Anthrax material. Blunt and fun metal tracks split up with darkly humorous dialogue. The
CD opener "Gates of Hell" is a great start. (This album has 24 tracks! 22 proper tracks and 2 bonus) It slams with great thrash, and some good melodies. After that track it goes into it's first Talk Show like interlude that are plentiful on this CD, they're great and entertaining. Hilarious! My favorite talking interlude on the CD, though, is definately "Say Metal". If I give too much
info on it, it'll give it all away, but it's great. Ok Now, I'd like to move on to one of my personal favorites on the album. "POA - Prisoners of America" kicks you in the face from the start, and sticks it to the politicians. The song really has a Carnivore feel in parts, I definately dig that. It's total thrash. Another great song on here is "Kill With A Vengeance" probably my second favorite tune on the album, definate thrash appeal, and group vocals!!! How I love group vocals. "Loner",
which comes in as the eighth track is a little bit of a break from the full on first songs. It comes in soft, with some really sick twisted lyrics, nice. "Dahmers Daycare" follows this kind of formula too, I like that. The best one like that on the album may just be "Sylvania" a kind of vampyric feeling song. With the mass of horror and serial killer worship, thrash, and humor on this album, it should keep all you sickos entertained for hours.
