SEPTICEMIA: Hopeless Age FREE Death Metal with orders of £30 + (CDs from the letter S)

Austrian Death Metal. Not just fast, some quite moments as well. Self financed
Don't you just love bands that can't be pinned down to one style of music? Septicemia plays a mixture of death- and black metal. Continuesly switching from sharp and evil black metal passages with hypnotic guitar patterns to more Bolt Thrower inspired death metal. The vocals are in sink and shift together with the music almost perfectly. The drums are tight and varied and the guitarist creates and plays some killing riffs with influences ranging from death, black to more thrashy. Because these guys are obviously capable musicians the material has a nice flow between aggression and more melody and sounds very natural. It's one thing trying to play a combination of various extreme metal styles, but to make it sound perfectly logical and structured is something else. Most of the material has quiet a serious atmosphere, but with the addition of a short grind core track (Deeper) and a hidden track with more rock and roll influences the band shows that they also have a good sense of humour. The artwork looks an image from a dreamscape, mysterious and tempting. If you're looking for the best of both worlds of black- and death metal, Septicemia could be your weapon of choice.
