Head On is the second album by New Wave of British Heavy Metal band Samson. It was released in 1980. The cover art features the band's masked drummer, Thunderstick. This is the first album with future Iron Maiden-frontman Bruce Dickinson on vocal duties.

I picked up this album cos I read somewhere that Bruce Dickinson was singer with this band (although he goes by the name Bruce Bruce according to the notes)before joining Iron Maiden. I wasn't disappointed. If you like NWOBHM, Iron Maiden, Diamond Head, Angel Witch etc...then you'll enjoy this.

I remember buying this in 1980 when 14 years old after hearing their Reading festival appearance on the Friday Rock Show. Take it Like a Man is the stand out track with the best milk bottle smashing sound ever committed to vinyl. Vice Versa, Hard Times, Hammerhead and Manwatcher are all great tracks as well. Fantastic drumming from Mr Stick, superb vocals from Bruce, imaginative powerful guitar and solid bass make this a NWOBHM classic. Buy Buy Buy.
