explosive young new British metal act into the spotlight. Exuberant, crisp guitar licks, mingle with the epic melodic choruses and powerful, soaring vocals of Darrin South. Sacred Mother Tongue formed in 2004, playing pubs and clubs in the Northampton / Milton Keynes area and building up a live following as a covers band, gradually introducing their own songs into the set. They released their debut EP, ‘Revenge Is Personal’, in February 2007. “With a sound that borrows heavily from Metallica, Soil and even Tool, they’ve clearly got their sights set on big things, and at its best – on the brutish ‘Wake Up Call’ and rambling closer ‘Down’ – this sounds like the promising precursor to a rapid evolution. Watch This space” mused Dom Lawson in Kerrang! on 03.03.07. The band racked up support slots with the likes of Johnny Truant, Biomechanical, Evile, and a main support slot with Lamb of God.
