Quietly, Belgium is growing to be a Metal force to reckon with."In Obscure Depths" is the debut of this band, but it doesn't sound like a debut. The sound is very mature, Black Metal, not extremely melodic in riffs, but more melodic work with the chords, and some solos woven through their songs, while the vocals are very grim Black Metal vocals. Apart from the usual Black Metal elements, tracks like "The Watcher - A Superior Walk" also feature some Death Metal elements, without ever giving the impression that we're listening to a Death Metal album here. For some reason I can't find the right band to describe the sound of PANCHRYSIA, it's pretty fast, has some melodies, some breaks, plenty of hooks.
