Matching the likes of Clutch, Biohazard, and Buckcherry is the North Carolina metal band Obey Bizar, a foursome that originated in 1994. Comprised of Bob Aderhold (vocals), Pat "AD" Diegnan (guitar), Kevin Haverlah (drums), and Keith Watson (bass), Obey Bizar was one of Charlotte's biggest metal acts during the late '90s, thanks to constant touring among area pubs. They released a four-song demo entitled Breakthrough in 1995 and a year later issued Power Stomp. After a well-deserved break, Obey Bizar returned to the studio in 1999 to record the full-length Intimidation, which was distributed through RedEye the following winter.
