I give it 5 stars. It's Metallica, and it's Metallica with McGovney and Mustaine.
The best part of this is you get to hear songs from the Kill 'em All album the way Mustaine originally wrote them. They sure were good back then.

This CD was available in big outlets across London, but then within a day or two Metallica filed a lawsuit over copyright infringement. The lawsuit states that Amazon.com, Outlaw Records, Dutch East India Trading, Music Boulevard and others marketed and distributed the album without the band's knowledge or consent, and fraudulently imply that the album consists of live recordings released and approved by the band.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bay Area Thrashers,
this is METALLICA!! this is an awesome CD. If you want it, buy it. It's that simple.

5.0 out of 5 stars The first and best METAL,
So this album is not the most clear, or the most beautiful Metallica. But maybe its the closest to the first true form of metallica ever. I also purchased Ozzy Ozzbourne:The ozzman cometh, and the first two songs on it sounded like crap, but it was classic Black Sabbath. Same goes for metallica. So what if it doesn't sound great, its pure, headbangn'metallica.

5.0 out of 5 stars 1981-The Birth of Thrash Metal,
Down from the Bay Area in California came a group of four youngsters that could really play some mean Rock! Who? Originally known as Phantom Lord, thay are suddenly recognized with a new--METALLICA ! And now you can hear what they sounded like before "Kill 'Em All"; With their original line-up: James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Dave Mustaine, and Rob McGovney. This LIVE set includes their original songs: Hit the Lights, Seek and Destroy, Motorbreath, Phantom Lord, The Mechanix(Four Horsemen),(the orignal)Jump in the Fire, and Metal Militia.
