Malmas was formed as a reaction to the monotonous, uncreative and unchalenging music that has been created in the UK for some time. First album "Dreamlands" was released in April 2001, to very positive reviews. Starting in a fairly straightforward fashion, the further into the album you go, the more progressive and grandiose the sound becomes, culminating in th epic 22 minute "Realms of Time". The Follow-up "Moments of Reason" was released in July 2002. This time the sound was more sophisticated, with a clearer idea of structure and melody. Allowing the (much improved) vocals to shine through, rather than relying on the guitar to take the lead
