Issued in 1992, MONEY finds the German industrial band KMFDM venturing further into what would become its signature sound, with pounding beats and driving keyboard lines mixing with ominous vocals and metallic guitar riffs. On these tracks (some of which are remixes), Sascha Konietzko, En Ensch, and company revel in their propulsive song structures, particularly on the scathing title song, the deliriously driving "Vogue," and the stuttering "Bargeld." For the KMFDM faithful, this is an essential release, if for no other reason than its position as a key step in the band's evolution.
