I got this album right when it came out, and it has been one of my favorites ever since. Mike's got one of the best voices around, and the boys can just tear it up. Jami->Sister Mercy is just wonderful. Majestic is an epic tune that just won't let you go. The rest of the album switches between driving rock grooves and soulful acoustic resolve. One can instantly tell that these guys are a wise and special band. Get this album.

I can't believe that these guys aren't huge. I would highly recommend this album, along with any of their other albums. I can't pick which one is my favorite. If you get the opportunity to see them live, you will have a great time. They have all the energy a band could possibly need to keep an audience locked in for as long as they decide to play. In my opinion, this is an absolute must have for any music collection. You will not be disappointed. This is one you will not find in a used music bin. If you do, avoid the maniac that traded it in at all cost, they are obviously not in their right mind.

These Nashville boys can really boogie. You can't put a label on these groovy cats. They're funk, blues, jazz, rock, all in one. Their music will pick you up and have you dancing one minute and then the next minute you'll be back in the chair pondering to yourself. SCW is extremely talented, and lead singer Mike Farris has incredible vocals, a soulful singer with an unique sound. Many others have discussed how they can't believe that these guys aren't huge. I agree... they're simply amazing. This is incredible. If you're into a southern style jam band rock with a major twist of blues, then I'd definately consider this album

I don't know who borrowed from whom, but the band's moniker triggers visions of the Cheetos animated Cheetah. I'm just another brainwashed victim of the tube...
Debut efforts don't get much better than this. Often times a successful outing is defined by two or three songs popping out of a collection. Every song on this is excellent. 'Majestic' stands out as my favorite but this is one of those rare discs to slip in and just leave there.

If you are a SCREAMIN' CHEETAH WHEELIES fan or a MIKE FARRIS fan, then this is the disc for you. It is not very easy to find because it is out of print. I believe this release is the best of the "S.C.W." studio releases. It is a shame this band broke up. I AM glad the lead singer gave up the drinking and drugging lifestyle, but I do wish I could hear these songs played live again, as he only plays spiritual or christian based songs today. If you love JAM BAND music ie.- Allman Bros.,Blues Traveler, Dave Matthews Band, etc., then you should like this. "S.C.W." toured with those bands on a festival tour called H.O.R.D.E. in the 90's. This is just plain old Butt-Kicin' Southern Rock & Roll at it's finest!!!

This is just a fantastic album all around. It is a great mix of slow and fast tunes, with great instrumentals thrown in. "Moses Brown", and "Sister Mercy" are definite high points of the album. I highly recommend it.

The SCW rock. They are one of the tightest, greatest bands in a long time, and this, their first album, is a wonderful introduction to their music. It contains the driving "Shakin The Blues" , "Ride the Tide", which is a favorite audience participation number at concerts, and the soulful love song,"Sister Mercy". If you like Jam Bands like the Crowes and the Allmans, you will more than likely enjoy the Screamin Cheetah Wheelies.
