HAINLOOSE: Burden State CD groove rock w. a southern flavour like Fu Manchu, later C.O.C, Allman Brothers, ZZ Top. Check samples

10 groove rock freakouts with a southern flavour, between edgy blues and straight stonerriffs.
Imagine the best of bands like FuManchu, the later COC, Allman Brothers or ZZ-Top shook up into a tasty cocktail of monster riffs and catchy vocals then served in a fresh new way. With "Burden State" Hainloose have established a recognizable sound of their own, which – with the sheer quality of their songwriting and musicianship – sets them miles apart from any dispossable me-too artists of the stonerscene.

One of the first bands signed to Stefan's Elektrohasch label, Hainloose are back. What we have here are 10 well crafted bluesy, dirty rock and roll tunes. Some of the tracks remind me a lot of the Swedish band Lotus, which have sadly disbanded. Sometimes the band really builds up some cool grooves at the end of their songs, but they never jam it out, not even one time on the whole record. The closest they get is on Proud of my Doom, which is the best song on the record, in my opinion. Chernobilly is quite a cool instrumental track. Broken Dams Parts 1 and 2 are pretty cool pieces. The first part is instrumental and leads directly into the second part, which is a more slow bluesy thing. The CD ends with Barricades and Barrels, which is a really strange piece of twisted blues.
