FISTER: Phrenum CD A la Neurosis, Tool. Deep really heavy metal, pure adrenaline injection, amazing musicianship,

These guys make one big noise for a three piece, its all big wadges of guitar chords, played at the type of tempo and rhythms you would hear at the steelworks. It seems to me that Neurosis are corroding the genetic heritage of more than one band. Some phenomenal moments for those who
would like to see Korn, Tool and a bottle of Nitric acid thrown in a blender. I know music fans will either love it and get the point of this dark, brooding sound, or hate it. I dont think theres any in-between

Bought this cd after seeing the band in London. I wasn't sure at the time but this is amazing stuff. All the elements come together to fuse into one solid sound of pure metal plus something unheard of before.Go buy it!!
4.0 out of 5 stars disgustingly abrasive and hard slog!,

I bought this record after hearing about it in KERRANG MAGAZINE who only gave it 3 Ks.I thought it was much more innovative than they gave it credit for but the description they gave the music was quite accurate. The songs are very scathing and twisted and the sound is raw with a cool lofi/budget. I'm sick of mainstream big budget no integrity so called Heavy Bands and I think I just found something serious to listen to again after Sepultura went downhill!
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, real heavy riffs but subtle & complex -

This album surprised me - it's so deep and exciting. It's really heavy and there's loads going on. Some of the riffs are like a pure injection of adrenaline and STD's voice sounds like he really means it. The time and key changes are really natural - not mathematical like Dream Theater. The musicianship is amazing. I used to love metal but I got bored with it - no innovation, bar a few bands like System Of A Down and The Beyond - but this really woke me up. Deep metal, this is what I want to hear.
