FIREBIRD: Deluxe CD Signed, autographed! (Original CD) Blues-Rock a la 60's/early 70's Humble Pie, Free, Cream etc.
Blues/Rock trio led, surprisingly, by Bill Steer, the former guitarist for Carcass and Napalm Death! Originally released in 2001, this was the trio's follow-up to their self-titled debut. Firebird's sound harkens back to the glorious early Blues/Rock sound of the late '60s and early '70s. It has been said that Firebird are the bastard children of Humble Pie, Free and Cream. 10 tracks including 'Dirt Trap', 'Miles From Nowhere' and 'Lonely And Sober'. Music For Nations
VERY underrated band. Classic blues influenced rock with a lot of emotions. Excellent musicians! A must have for Cream, Badlands, Beggars & Thieves,... fans!

The first album by Firebird didn't quite hit the spot, sounding leaden and dull.
What a revelation this second album is!
The tired, lifeless sound of the first album has been replaced by a vibrant retro sound that totally rocks!
The songs are far superior to the debut as well, and will lodge themselves in your brain after a single play.
Special mention must go to'Hammer and Tongs' and 'Zoltana'which groove along superbly.
If you're after an album which has one foot in the past, but is relevant today then I heartily recommend this release.
