Live - In The Heat Of The Night is a live album by heavy metal band Diamond Head recorded at the Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall during their 1991 comeback tour. It was originally a video bootleg but was released on the insistence of their manager, Steve Guard, in 2000 in tribute to the band's live sound after their breakup after the Death and Progress album in 1994, and contains a thank-you note from vocalist Sean Harris on the inner sleeve.
This live album consists of two discs. The first is an audio recording of the show, whilst the second is video of the concert, although neither disc captures the entire show.
The album contains several unreleased songs, such as "Let Me Down Easy" and "She Comes Down" as well as a medley of cover songs at the end of disc one, which was rare for Diamond Head.

N.W.O.B.H.M. pioneers Diamond Head are captured live on this 2000 release. However, the actual recording is taken from a 1991 show at Wolverhampton UK. At that point original members Sean Harris (V) and Brian Tatler (G) had reunited with plans to record a new album ("Death and Progress"- 1993).

"Live in the heat of the night" sounds as if taken straight from the mixing desk; Having said that all instruments come through clearly and are consistently audible. This release also includes a video CD with 9 out of 13 songs (which CD1 features) also poorly captured by a solo camera.
9 years past their original break up and in 1991 Harris sounds even greater a vocalist than in the 80s while Tatler has matured into a more confident guitar player unafraid to include tricky passages and solos that match perfectly the nature of the songs. Additionally the CD does not fail to include quite a few of their signature songs namely "In the heat of the night" , "Borrowed Time" and "Lightning to the nations" with the addition of newer minor hits such as "I can't help myself" and "Run".
