....what is the reason for the creating of uncountable retort sounds, while it is the easiest way when music is made with honesty and heart. Another glorious exception is there, however not from the "origin country" America but from the cold Sweden. CALM offer a great strike in case of brutal and modern Metal, apart from common and boring trends. Just imagine, you would bar PANTERA, the PISSING RAZORS, SLIPKNOT, KORN, FAITH NO MORE and BOLT THROWER in and urge them to make music. Of course, this wouldn't work because there would be soon harmed and death victims and there would be surely no sensible working method. But the basis is interesting and CALM are able to serve such music. Brutal, crazy, unpredictably and dithyrambic are keywords to describe "Are We Supposed To Be..." and compared with the bands' name, they are anything other than calm.

Indeed the sound of the Scandinavians is not a redefinition of Nu-Metal but the credibility and creativity of this album is breathtaking. CALM don't care about easy listening or radio compatibility but unleash their insane, weird and psychopathical views. This collection of crazy ideas is hard to describe and they must be listened patiently. This band, consisting of seven persons, desire your patience because though you will be devastated right with the first listen but the deeper aspects come obvious with more spins. Another positive point is the compactness of "Are We Supposed To Be...", this band seems not to know what weaker points or filler are.

Nu-Metal at its highest level but also recommendable for Death Metal and Hardcore fans, because the level of heaviness is pretty high and the stuff crushes your skull. CALM rules!
