BLUE SKY GOODBYE: Look on the Bright Side [Serving up a hot dish of power pop a la New Found Glory and
Sum 41, Blue Sky Goodbyes' Look On The Bright Side is a well-lubed melody machine. Vocalist/Guitarist Reid Crandall pays homage to the Tom Linton school of Jimmy Eat World with his gruff, dry vocals. Crandall and company are not apologetic about their use of ear candy and saccharine throughout Look On The Bright side’s 10 rock candy nuggets. While wearing their influences on their sleeves, BSG also show signs of carving their own power pop niche with the more-than-four-chord romp Friday Night Support Group, and the sullen closing number Sad Bastard Music. Although not poised to make any all-time greatest lists, Blue Sky Goodbye offer up a solid and pleasant soundtrack for driving, moping, drinking well, just about anything I guess. Enjoy!

Fans of Jimmy Eat World and Alkaline Trio take note - Blue Sky Goodbye just may become your new favorite band.
