The Intro is an instrumental that sets the right mood. The Final Crossing starts good. The clean vocals aren't the same as many other heavy metal bands. They're not as high pitched as bands like hammerfall and kamelot. The chorus uses some brutal grunts that sound very good. The next song ( trenches of death ) is a pure death metal song. There's only a short part using clean vocals. Innerstorm is a mysterious and very melodic song. Lots of whispers and evil laughters. Burned is a bit in between Trenches of Death and Innerstorm. World On Fire has a kind of black metal style, but it's very subtile.

In Aeternum is a good instrumental to take some breath. With As Winter Comes the band bangs in again with a very melodic song. This song sounds like very bombastic. Disgrace at Dawn is one of the fastest songs on the album. Frozen Soul is the longest one, but doesn't get boring thanks to the many switches from clean vocals to grunts.

Personally I prefer the grunts on this album, but the clean vocals ar good as well ( probably it’s just me cause I’m fond of grunts. The grunts are very varied. From deep death to high black. The guitar riffs are lovely, but stick out that much, because the keyboard parts are a little too much on the foreground. Don’t get me wrong : the keyboard is awesome, but it’s a little too prominent. About the drums : they’re very good. It’s not just bashin as fast as possible, but it’s unifying with the rest of the music and makes it just more melodic. The bass patterns are good too. Especially on the The Trenches Of Death.

Somehow I always like Self-Released albums. If Achyronthia does their very best they would even be able to release their next album on a label. But there are also some things that aren't as good as I hoped. Still it’s a good album. Hope to hear more 'bout these guys.
