SHADOW KING: Shadow King (1st, debut, s.t) CD. Foreigner singer Lou Gramm + guitarist Vivian Campbell (Def Leppard, Dio). VIDEO
Shadow King
Origin: Los Angeles
Genres: Hard Rock
Years active: 1990-91
Label: Atlantic Records
Associated acts Foreigner, Def Leppard, Sweet Savage,
Shadow King was a rock band. Members included now former Foreigner lead singer Lou Gramm, former Sweet Savage, Dio, Whitesnake, Riverdogs, (and then future Def Leppard) guitarist Vivian Campbell, Lou Gramm's former Black Sheep and then future Foreigner bandmate bass player Bruce Turgon, and drummer Kevin Valentine.
Vivian Campbell and Bruce Turgon both also played with Lou Gramm as a solo artist previous to Shadow King.
They released a self-titled album in 1991. Although plans were made for a tour, they performed only once, at the Astoria Theatre in London, England, on December 13, 1991. Shortly afterward, Vivian Campbell announced he was leaving Shadow King to join Def Leppard. Although replacements were considered, the band members eventually went their separate ways, with Gramm and Turgon joining the reunited Foreigner in 1993.
Reportedly, Lou Gramm guested with Def Leppard on stage in 1992, shortly after Vivian Campbell joined Def Leppard.

Good, solid 80's-style hair metal. I guess the obvious comparisons would be stuff like early Warrant and also the Skyhigh album. I like this, and most the songs are pretty cool, with few killers that most 80's / early 90's albums of this style had. Good and very solid

EMPIRE: Trading Souls CD. Tony Martin (ex Black Sabbath) on vocals, Neil Murray on bass.! Check all samples.
SAMPLES:
www.amazon.com/gp/recsradio/radio/B00008Z5GJ/ref=pd_krex_dp_a
Tony Martin (ex Black Sabbath singer) is involved with many projects these days - Mollo/Martin "The cage I & II", Rondinelli's "Our cross, our sins", and this one: Empire. It's melodic (hard) rock and `tho it's not world class, it sure has it's good moments. Tony Martin co-wrote every song on the album and he's voice is still very good. The material is rather attractive, like in the opening mid tempo rocker "One in a million" with its radio friendly chorus; the beautiful "Teenage deadhead" on which Martin deliver a soulful feeling with his voice. Other outstanding tunes are the faster "Big world, little man" the catchy "Back in the light" and the slower "Did you ever love me". Critics may say it's all harmless pop metal, but if you're an AOR fan I believe you'll find Empire's "Trading souls" amazing. And if you're a fan of Tony martin you shouldn't hesitate to buy this album.
By the way, Neil Murray plays bass! Neil Murray is a Scottish bass player, best known for his work in Whitesnake, Gary Moore, Vow Wow, Black Sabbath, Cozy Powell, The Brian May Band, Tony Martin, Michael Schenker Group

Coverdale and Page (Coverdale•Page) is an album by former Deep Purple and Whitesnake lead vocalist David Coverdale and former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page (as Coverdale and Page), released by Geffen Records on 15 March 1993.
Adding to the Led Zeppelin sound of this album was the John Bonham-influenced and former Montrose drummer Denny Carmassi.
According to David Coverdale, the traffic sign shown on the cover of the album signified "two roads joining to one road. Try to express unification or joining together."
The album reached #4 in the UK and #5 on the US Billboard 200 chart, while the first single released, "Pride and Joy", although barely making a dent on the pop charts, reached the #1 spot on the Album Rock Tracks chart for six weeks.
