Razor formed in 1984.They have issued many classic metal albums over their 16 year career including Evil Invaders, Violent Restitution, Shotgun Justice and Open Hostility. Toured with the likes of Slayer, Motorhead and Venom all over Europe.
As the name suggests, this album should be played a loud as possible. Along with Annihilator, Razor is one of the Canadian thrash giants. This album is thrash. No doubt about it. Unlike Annihilator, Razor has not strayed far from their roots, and Decibels is the testament to their legacy.
Every song on this album is fast. The guitars sound like chainsaws ripping through anything they touch. Everything about the album is sharp, and thrashy. The solos are still fast, and still awesome. Everything about this album is at light speed. There is no compromise whatsoever. The speed of this album can be compared to that of a machine gun. Reloading is the equivalent of switching tracks.

Probot was a heavy metal side project of ex-Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters rhythm guitarist and lead-singer Dave Grohl. An album was recorded out of the material and released in February 2004. It featured one single entitled "Centuries of Sin/The Emerald Law".

At first glance this looks like a compilation "best of". However, his cd goes far beyond what it appears to be. Sure it contains a handful of Cronos songs off of his first two solo albums Dancing In The Fire and Rock 'N' Roll Disease (they did a good job at getting the best ones), but the kicker is that this release contains great Venom cover songs:

Awesome song with a fantastic chorus! Unholy Trinity was such a killer record! Too bad Ross didn't get the credit he deserved. I guess he's just to "metal"

Amazing EP release w/ 5 cover songs, an original intro and a live-in-the-studio rendition of "Hellcult."
Covered are are the most classic evil black metal bands being, Venom ("Warhead"), Bathory ("Sacrifice"), Mercyful Fate ("Evil"), Celtic Frost ("The Circle of the Tyrants") and the obscure band Black Widow ("Come to the Sabath" - awesome rendition!).
Good intoduction to the style of music they play. Hail these evile-doers.

Bewitched Old Skool Blasphemy...
Great Black Thrash Metal. The songs I like most on this album are Sacrifice, Come To The Sabbath, and Hellcult(Live).

1) Prologue, I happen to like this short lead in. It reminds me of the intro on King Diamond House of God a bit. Starts off slow with some distorted talking, eventually fading into the starting Venom cover song rather well.

A hard-to-find 1980 British METAL LP. “Vardis were a pioneering three-piece new wave of British Heavy Metal between 1978 and 1986. They were from Wakefield in England, and consisted of frontman Steve Zodiac on guitar and lead vocals, Alan Selway on bass and Gary Pearson on drums. Original Vardis records are rare and are valued highly in most record collector's books and guides.

They took the unorthodox approach of comprising their debut album, '100MPH' (1980), of entirely live recordings. This is largely considered to be their finest hour and gained the band a large following early on in their career. They were invited to play the Heavy Metal Holocaust music festival in August 198l alongside Motorhead, Ozzy Osbourne and Triumph. Around 30,000 heavy metal fans were estimated to have attended with the PA reportedly reaching new heights of amplification at over 100,000 watts.
