The Black Sabbath influence is obvious. The vocalist sounds very close to the Ozz man himself. This album will blow you away! All my friends have now ordered it from Amazon after I played it at a party. MTV said rock is dead. If so, how do you explain this album? Also check out Orange Goblin, Unida, Nebula, Spirit Caravan (Wino's new band!) & Monster Magnet!

Metal? Yes...!!! Good Metal? YeeeeeeeeS.
The music Electro Baby delivers is a bit of everything... you can find influences of bands like C.O.C., Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Unida, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, FAITH NO MORE, White Zombie, KYUSS, ORANGE GOBLIN, but don΄t be afraid the guys mix that all in one unique style and it sounds pretty cool.

On "Electro Baby Land" offer the guys mostly stoner rock. The opener "Roll Over" and "Smoke the sun" still resound in the best promising KYUSS / ORANGE GOBLIN -style out of the box. The sound is a bit dusty but fits really well for a self-production. "Dark Side Of My Love" and "Rock Show" get a real touch of rock `n` roll. "Rock` n `Roll ör the" thoughts come to RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, or FAITH NO MORE on. "Creatures of the Night" and "Censored" almost pure death metal, are SIX FEET UNDER have approved. The remaining tracks are from back in the desert and KYUSS.

This is the first, RARE, original version of the CD released by the band in small quantity of copies.

I stumbled across this little gem several months ago and it has been a regular in my cd player ever since.
This is the debut album from the Swedish power trio and it is simply awesome.

The Zippo is an Italian band that formed in 2004. The band's sound is a very heavy stoner rock, although not very dirty, 'obscure', experimental, with enough psychedelia and progressive elements.

Ode to Maximum is the first album, released independently in 2006, and is just too good! Recommended for those who like Orange Goblin, Colour Haze, and obviously Kyuss.

BONGZILLA: Gateway [Green amp-fueled sludge never sounded so good. Bongzilla return with their second full-length and boy, was the three year wait worth it. Gateway is heavier, catchier and more rockin than its predecessor Stash. If you thought Matt Pike's tone was massive, wait til you hear the low ends the boys crank out on songs like "Stone A Pig" and "Greenthumb". It's enough to loosen the filling in those rotted teeth. While the "seeds" that were planted on Stash still abound, they have loosened up their sound a bit to give it a bluesier feel. And man, do these songs swing. Even the smoked-seared vocals have a catchiness to them. Just listen to the "Califor-ny-A" part in "Stone A Pig". Wendy Schnieder has done an excellent job in capturing the band's heaviness. The production is a lot cleaner than Stash's while heavier at the same time.It seems the band has taken some cues from it's side project Cuda, by adding a lot of uptempo parts to the mix. This new element really separates them from the Eyehategods, Cavitys and Iron Monkeys of the sludge scene. In fact, Bongzilla have reached a level where new bands will be influenced by them.

CORRUPTION clearly is Hard Rock with a mix of "Stoner Rock". So the influences easily can be detected (KYUSS, BLACK SABBATH, ORANGE GOBLIN MONSTER MAGNET) Note the cover-versions of "Paranoid" (BLACK SABBATH) and "Perfect Stranger" (DEEP PURPLE).

To my pleasant shock, this album completely floored me. It was a similar feeling to that of my first Kyuss listen, the experience that got me obsessed and addicted to the stoner/psychedelic genre. Those pounding riffs, fuzzy and deep tones, laced in swirling and hypnotic guitar licks - it was a real listening experience, and one that really spoilt me for a long time, as hardly any other bands can re-create such genius. Well, Colour Haze's self-titled album has taken me back to that experience, and I can honestly say that this is the best stoner/psychedelic album I have listened to for a long, long time.

It has the balls of Goblin if you know what I mean...that same kind of blues driving rock sound...very classic. Thick wailing blues leads and throaty vocals make this single a sure jukebox favorite. Check it out for sure if you’re a fan of Beer drinking and Orange Goblin
