Night Ranger
DAMN YANKEES: Don't Tread CD. Original 1st press 1992. Check videos.
The band was formed in 1989, consisting of Tommy Shaw of Styx, Jack Blades of Night Ranger, Ted Nugent of The Amboy Dukes and a successful solo career, and Michael Cartellone.
Presumably inspired by the musical of the same name, Nugent once also explained that he coined the name because whenever someone asked him how he and Tommy Shaw would sound playing together, he would always reply by saying they would sound like “a bunch of damn Yankees.”
In 1992, Damn Yankees went gold with their follow-up album Don’t Tread. The title song, sung by Blades, enjoyed extensive coverage at the Barcelona Olympic Games. It contained a few minor hits, such as "Mister Please," "Where You Goin’ Now," and "The Silence Is Broken," a power ballad featured in the 1993 Jean-Claude Van Damme film Nowhere to Run. The brightest moments of the album are the ones that are trademark Nugent.

So this is a strange album with very good musicians.
Joe has the A-side,
Stevie's has the B. And 3 from Steve Vai's songs originally are on David Lee Roth's first album. So the track selection is very wrong, but here are great musicians.
Let's see the tracks:
"Always with Me Always with You" by Bruce Kulick. The ex-Kiss guitarist has a totally different style than Satriani, but he made the job well.
"Surfing with the Alien" by ex-Ozzy/Badlands guitarist Jake E. Lee. Good job again. Richard Kendrick plays all backing instruments including the drum programming too, and it sounds good. Richard plays on 5 more songs in this CD.
"Echo" - the best track in my opinion featuring guitar player Jimmy Crespo and Dave Ragsdale on violin.
GAMMA: 2 (2nd LP Great Hard Rock Night Ranger, Montrose, Heart, Coverdale Page members) Check samples!
Gamma was the group that Ronnie Montrose started after his group Montrose broke up. They released three albums on Elektra Records between 1979 and 1982. Gamma 2 hit the Billboard charts in 1982 and rose to #65.
Gamma 2 was issued in 1980. Alan Fitzgerald (who later joined Night Ranger as their keyboardist) was replaced by bassist Glenn Letsch, and Denny Carmassi came in on drums. The album had a memorable cover design by Mick Haggerty, featuring 2 sharks with only their fins visible burrowing through a lawn that was being sprinkled. The album peaked at #65, and featured a heavier sound. (e.g. "Mean Streak" and "Cat On A Leash"). There was also a cover version of Thunderclap Newman's classic "Something in the Air". It was produced by Gary Lyons and Ronnie Montrose.
===================================================
On Gamma's second disc, Ronnie Montrose keeps his streak of not having the same personnel on two albums in a row, changing the line-up once again. Davey Pattison (vocals), Ronnie Montrose (guitar), and Jim Alcivar (synthesizer). Glenn Letsch replaces Alan Fitzgerald on bass and old Montrose bandmate Denny Carmassi replaces Skip Gillette on drums.
