Mercyful Fate

Probot was a heavy metal side project of ex-Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters rhythm guitarist and lead-singer Dave Grohl. An album was recorded out of the material and released in February 2004. It featured one single entitled "Centuries of Sin/The Emerald Law".

Notre Dame was a Swedish metal band formed in 1997. Members included Snowy Shaw and Vampirella (vocals) and Jean-Pierre de Sade (guitar and bass) and Mannequin de Sade (drums) two brothers who claimed to be descendants of legendary revolutionary writer Marquis de Sade. The band mixed black metal with elements of electro, horror, gothic and orchestral themes.
In an interview, Snowy stated, that he performed drums on Notre Dame albums and Mannequin de Sade was actually only a made-up character.

Memento Mori was a Swedish doom metal band with power metal influences. The band was founded by Messiah Marcolin and Mike Wead in 1992 after Messiah left Candlemass. After two albums, however, Messiah left the band; the third album was sung by a different singer. For the fourth album, Messiah returned. After that album, the band broke up. All albums were released by Black Mark.

The story of the song Dream Dancer is this: The song was the last song in the first vinyl release of Crimson Glory album in 1986. When the album was transfered to cassette, the song was left out. For this reason, the group published the Lonely 12" Single in 1988.

Amazing EP release w/ 5 cover songs, an original intro and a live-in-the-studio rendition of "Hellcult."
Covered are are the most classic evil black metal bands being, Venom ("Warhead"), Bathory ("Sacrifice"), Mercyful Fate ("Evil"), Celtic Frost ("The Circle of the Tyrants") and the obscure band Black Widow ("Come to the Sabath" - awesome rendition!).
Good intoduction to the style of music they play. Hail these evile-doers.

Bewitched Old Skool Blasphemy...
Great Black Thrash Metal. The songs I like most on this album are Sacrifice, Come To The Sabbath, and Hellcult(Live).

1) Prologue, I happen to like this short lead in. It reminds me of the intro on King Diamond House of God a bit. Starts off slow with some distorted talking, eventually fading into the starting Venom cover song rather well.
