It is my great pleasure to introduce to you...Rampage! With "The Arrival", an EP that is closer to a short-length album, these 5 guys from Canada are proving that they are here to stay.

"The Arrival" begins with "Reagans Dream" and a pleasant punch in the stomach: an amazing Thrash intro that sets the tone for what's to come. This first song shows off the talent of all musicians: angry guitar riffs, a throbbing bass, and absolutely astounding drums. And of course, Patrick's voice, which is powerful and clear. Rampage's Thrash style is reminiscent of Nevermore, mixing melodic passages with pure power. The song is complex, with a fantastic guitar solo and several rhythm changes before going back to the verse, bridge, and chorus. "Reagans Dream" is the perfect way to start off and definitely one of the best songs on the album.

IRON MAIDEN are the obvious major influence of this German quartet and there for sure are worse bands to be influenced by. And "Fight For The Cross…Die For Jerusalem" could just as well have stood on one of the earlier Dickinson albums of MAIDEN. Following is the band hymn "Made Of Iron" that already had been available on their debut.

Founded in Bergen, Norway in 1992, the band refused to jump on the churchburning/Blackmetal bandwagon emerging at the time. More focused on making music, they embarked on a quest to find PURE HEAVY METAL.

Take Judas Priest's choruses, Iron Maiden's guitars, Motorhead's punkish attitude, Black Sabbath's heaviness, Entombeds rock'n'roll and influences from both latterday pioneers like Faith No More, Fear Factory, The Wildhearts and the classic crooners. This migth or migth not be what we sound like to you, but this certainly is where we're coming from!
