An album that blew me away at first spin!
CRYSTAL EYES: Vengeance Descending CD original 1st press. Proper old school Metal. Check 20 minute (!!) preview of the whole CD.
Basically the recipe is a load of British 80s Heavy Metal, a load of German 80s Heavy Metal and a load of American 80s Heavy Metal. Translated into some well known bands that Crystal Eyes are proud to call influences we would end up somewhere around Judas Priest, Accept, Iron Maiden, Dio, Helloween, Saxon, Riot, 80s Black Sabbath, Rage, Manowar, Running Wild and a bunch of slightly softer bands from the 80s.

-------------------------------------------------------
Energized by the surprising popularity of Perfect Man, Rage sought to capitalize on their good streak, with 1989's Secrets in a Weird World. And to their credit, the German trio remained spot on from a stylistic standpoint, rehashing the melodic thrash formula that seemed to best suit their talents.

VHALDEMAR: I Made My Own Hell CD. Power Metaaaal!! Malmsteen, Rhapsody, Racer X. Check samples.
Consider the flash of Malmsteen and Rhapsody mixed with the speed of Gamma Ray with the gravelly vocals of Carlos Escudero. The guitars of Pedro J. Monge will remind you of Malmsteen and classic Racer X era Paul Gilbert. Flashy, heavy possessing finesse with speed is the order of the day on this powerful release.
Carlos Escudero - vocals, guitar
Pedro J. Monge - guitar, keyboards, backing vocals

Death Metal is a split album by the bands Helloween, Hellhammer, Running Wild and Dark Avenger. It contains the only recorded material of the German band Dark Avenger.
The album offers an interesting point of view of the ebullience and creativity of the Central European metal scene in the mid-80s. At that time Running Wild had yet to develop their "pirate metal" schtick and considered themselves a black metal band. Helloween themselves were more of a thrashy speed metal act rather than the melodic power metal vehicle they'll develop into. Hellhammer were the darker and heavier band of the foursome and would later be regarded as pioneers and inspirators by generations of European extreme Metallers.
