Years active: 1990-91
Label: Atlantic Records
Associated acts Foreigner, Def Leppard, Sweet Savage,
Shadow King was a rock band. Members included now former Foreigner lead singer Lou Gramm, former Sweet Savage, Dio, Whitesnake, Riverdogs, (and then future Def Leppard) guitarist Vivian Campbell, Lou Gramm's former Black Sheep and then future Foreigner bandmate bass player Bruce Turgon, and drummer Kevin Valentine.
Vivian Campbell and Bruce Turgon both also played with Lou Gramm as a solo artist previous to Shadow King.
They released a self-titled album in 1991. Although plans were made for a tour, they performed only once, at the Astoria Theatre in London, England, on December 13, 1991. Shortly afterward, Vivian Campbell announced he was leaving Shadow King to join Def Leppard. Although replacements were considered, the band members eventually went their separate ways, with Gramm and Turgon joining the reunited Foreigner in 1993.
Reportedly, Lou Gramm guested with Def Leppard on stage in 1992, shortly after Vivian Campbell joined Def Leppard.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT COMPILATION OF EARLY MATERIAL,
HAREM SCAREM is a melodic rock band that was formed in the late 80's or early 90s. Their music is catchy, the production is superb, and the songwriting is great. The singer has a raspy sort of voice, but he can sing melodies to rival those of Freddie Mercury, Steve Perry, or Joe Elliott (Def Leppard). The guitarist is a good, skillful soloist (it sounds like he has been influenced by Steve Vai, Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), and Ronnie Le Tekro (TNT)), and he plays tasty and often complex rhythms. The supporting band is good and solid.
BB STEAL: On the Edge CD (original, not bootleg). Rare AOR / melodic hard rock, strong Def Leppard (Hysteria era) influence
BB Steal (Beg Borrow Steal) are an Australian band formed circa 1987.
Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen co-produced their first full length album On The Edge. There are reports that he also played some guitar and sang backing vocals on the album, though he was never officially a member of the band. On The Edge is very Def Leppard-influenced.
Reportedly, BB Steal opened for Def Leppard during a tour of Australia, around the time of On The Edge.

When we embarked on "the quest of the best of," it was difficult to determine which criteria to use. What is "the test of the best of?" The biggest hits? Best performances? Best lyrics? Fans' favorites? Band's favorites? We decided early on to make it a two-CD set. Forty songs seemed like a nice goal, too. However, with 11 tracks making their debuts on this ApologetiX album, that left only 29 songs to represent the eight ApologetiX albums already in stores (and each of those albums contained 18-22 songs).

Alias was a Canadian album-oriented rock/hard rock supergroup band, formed in 1988 by vocalist Freddy Curci and guitarist Steve DeMarchi of the Canadian arena rock band Sheriff ("When I'm With You"), along with Heart founding members Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen, and Mike DeRosier.
The band released its self-titled debut album in 1990 which went gold in the US and platinum in Canada, scoring hits with power ballad "More Than Words Can Say" (#2), "Waiting For Love" (#13) and "Haunted Heart" (#18 on Mainstream Rock Charts). They also recorded the Tonio K song "Perfect World" for the Christina Applegate film, Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead.
Alias toured extensively through 1990, including touring with REO Speedwagon. The band also performed twice on The Tonight Show, once with Johnny Carson and once with Jay Leno.
