Live In Tokyo is a live album by Hughes Turner Project, a collaboration between Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple/ Black Sabbath/ Trapeze) and Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple/ Rainbow/ Yngwie Malmsteen);

Live In Tokyo was the only live record to be released by the Hughes Turner Project. The album was recorded at the Shibuya Club Quattro in Tokyo, Japan on May the 17th and 19th 2002 on the first leg of their tour to support their debut album HTP.
The set-list comprises four songs from the HTP album as well as other songs from both Hughes and Turner’s back catalogues including Deep Purple, Rainbow and Black Sabbath numbers. For the most part the two sing their own songs solo, only performing duets on the HTP songs.

Return Of Crystal Karma is Hughes’ seventh solo studio album, his sixth since 1992. The album has a similar bass driven funk sound to 1999’s The Way It Is, although R.O.C.K. has a slightly more serious tone.
R.O.C.K. was performed by a set band throughout the album, unlike many of Hughes’ previous albums which had featured multiple musicians and guests. Regular guitarist JJ Marsh makes his third appearance on a Glenn Hughes album and co-wrote many of the tracks. The rest of the band is made up of keyboardist Hans Zermüehlen, Hughes’ regular drummer of the period Gary Ferguson and Lol Tolhurst (former member of The Cure) who contributed some electronica parts.

The Way It Is is a studio album by former Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Trapeze vocalist/ bassist Glenn Hughes.
While Hughes’ previous album, 1996’s Addiction had a serious, quite dramatic and heavy sound with songs that focused on the turmoil in his life, it’s follow up, The Way It Is has a distinctly lighter tone. The metal edge of Addiction was replaced with funk infused one. However, The Way It Is keeps the hard rock Hughes is best known for.

Addiction is a studio album by former Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Trapeze vocalist/ bassist Glenn Hughes. It was released in 1996 and was Hughes’ fifth solo studio album.
Addiction was a definite hard rock record, at times bordering on heavy metal. It is generally considered Hughes’ heaviest solo album, both musically and topically. Hughes describes the period of his life when he made the album as a dark one; various issues he was going through are addressed in the songs. Many of them focus on the drug addictions that marred Hughes’ life throughout the 80s.
Guitarist and songwriter Marc Bonilla had a major contribution on the album, performing, co-producing and co-writing nine of the ten songs. This is also Hughes’ first album to feature long-time guitarist and co-songwriter Joakim ‘JJ’ Marsh. Marsh (from Sweden) has played guitar on every subsequent Hughes solo album and has toured with him on many occasions.

For those of you who already own 'Burning Japan Live'(94), Glenn used the same backing band for 'From Now On' minus the drummer. On this disc, you can hear the studio versions of those live tracks. All are excellent and up to the ususal high standards.
The Deep Purple bonus track Burn is awesome. This was a good period for Glenn and it shows on this disc. 13 tracks. Well worth owning.

Halfway to Gone is an American rock band from New Jersey. The band formed in 1999 when bassist and founding member of Solarized, Lou Gorra got together with Lee Stuart (Solarized's touring guitarist), and drummer Danny Gollin. Chuck Dukehart from Sixty Watt Shaman played drums in the band for a year before being replaced by Kenny Wagner, also of Sixty Watt Shaman & Honky, who toured with them and played on "Second Season". The band did U.S. tours & played shows with Clutch, Nashville Pussy, Nebula, CKY, Suplecs, and many others. The band's style has been described as a mixture of Stoner rock, Southern rock and Heavy metal, inspired by Lynyrd Skynyrd and Black Sabbath, among others. They released an album with Alabama Thunderpussy in 2000 and their own debut early the next year. They have released two more albums since. They went on extended hiatus in 2004 but are rumored to be doing another album in 2011 with original line up of Stu, Danny, & Lou on Smallstone Records.
