WITHIN TEARS: Moments Of Life - Chapter 1 CD..RARE!! For fans of Doom /Death Metal. Great Candlemass cover!
Within Tears plays in the European, romantic doom/death metal tradition in the vein of the three Peaceville giants (particularly My Dying Bride) but without sounding like a clone. Slight allusions to Long Winters' Stare at times.
========================================
Doom Metal with growls, but also a few clear vocals. Despite the overall slow tempo WITHIN TEARS vary the rhythm and conjure up an almost progressive feel to their music sometimes, but never letting the complexity get the better of it, the sad atmosphere is the centre point of this album. Minor-riffs, piano and the slow-paced tempo, the rhythm-section and the guitars provide the necessary heaviness. "Solitude" is a cover-version of the CANDLEMASS-classic. The album, which is graced with a very good sound, should appeal to all fans of Doom /Death.

ZEN: The Sound Of Shit Happening CD Swedish progressive, heavy psych! Candlemass + Entombed leaders are their fans!!
Zen is a progressive, heavy psych band from Sweden - three dudes that make beautiful music since '94. Leif Edling (Candlemass) put them on his all-vinyl Frog label in '99 and they were subsequently courted by Lee Dorrian and Frank Kozik as additions to the Rise Above and Man's Ruin labels, respectively. They finally ended up on Entombed guitarist's Alex Hellid's Music Entity label and recorded The Sound of Shit Happening with Mr. Hellid sitting in the producer chair. "No IOU's" has a stoned folk-flavored, Hammond-accented beat, "In The Shade" slow, spacey and psychedelic with a hypnotic riff and mesmerizing vocals. "Soulcollector" is a smooth, proggy rocker, "Save Me" a bass-driven diddy with a hell of a back beat and slide guitar accents. It progressively got better with each track, culminating with the epic "Suncircle", just a work of THC-induced art, the "Kashmir" for the new generation of bong children. I hear elements of vintage prog bands from the days of yore, as well as some of the more creative aspects that liken Zen to Mammoth Volume and Colour Haze.

5.0 out of 5 stars Diehard fans of Swedish metal... apply,
If you love Swedish heavy metal, then Power from the North is for you. Only one thing, don't be thinking you are buying a compilation of b-sides or original songs from these artists. All the songs are covers by our heroes heroes. This album begins with the Gods of Sweden, In Flames, and gradually goes up and down as the album progresses. Highlights are The Haunted and slow grinding genuis of Entombed. I recommend this album to everyone but make sure you like at least 5 bands on the CD first.

Krux's first and only live performance to date recorded in Stockholm on May 18, 2003. A stunning runthrough of tracks from the band's self-titled debut album.
Krux is a project headed by Candlemass supremo Leif Edling. It features four other great names from the world of Swedish heavy metal in Mats Leven, former vocalist for Yngwie, Jurgen Sandstrm (Guitar) and Peter Stjrnvind (Drums) of Entombed and finally Fredrik Akesson of Talisman, also on guitar.
A self-titled album was released in the UK during April of 2003 and included a psychadelic mixture of influences and instruments but still paid great tribute to the unmistakable style of classic metal bands such as Black Sabbath and Rainbow."
