In the spring of 2001, Eric Rauti (ex-Nme Within) called his friend Mats Rendlert (ex-Shoeshine Man) and asked him if he wanted to form a new band. Thus, Rusty Souls was born.

Soon, drummer Marcus Larsson was added to the line-up, but has since been replaced by Anders Ström (ex-Nme Within). Singer Peter Nilsson (Mindbliss) completes the quartet with his Ian Gillan and Ozzy Osbourne inspired vocal style, which, together with the powerful riffling of Mats and Eric, creates the trademark heaviness of Rusty Souls.

Arguably the most important doom metal band from Finland ever. This is quite simply one of the greatest albums I have ever heard. Every song is stunningly unique, with their own personality, vibe, emotion to them. All the instruments are extremely well placed. The lyrics are incredibly epic and fantastical.

Normally I don't give out 5 star reviews so easily, but as I find, I cannot fathom giving this less than 5 stars.

Memento mori is a Latin phrase translated as "Remember your mortality", "Remember you must die"

Memento Mori was a Swedish doom metal band with power metal influences. The band was founded by Messiah Marcolin and Mike Wead in 1992 after Messiah left Candlemass. After two albums, however, Messiah left the band; the third album was sung by a different singer. For the fourth album, Messiah returned. After that album, the band broke up. All albums were released by Black Mark.

Originally released in 1995, Live and Learn was the debut album from Brazen Abbot, the melodic rock group formed by ex-Baltimoore guitarist Nikolo Kotzev. Kotzev was always more than just a superb guitarist, as his songwriting and keyboard playing in Brazen Abbot clearly proves. On this initial offering, Kotzev was joined by a pair of Europe members (Ian Haughland and Mic Michaeli) and on vocals Thomas Vikstrom (ex-Candlemass), Goran Edman (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen) and none other than Deep Purple singer Glenn Hughes.
