Absolutely guitar-driven, a classic anyway in my humble opinion ! I’ll try to explain why.
QUARTZ: Stand Up And Fight NWOBHM LP Check samples
The name of Birmingham Metallers Quartz is now synonymous with the legendary NWOBHM movement. Quartz are rooted in the industrial hotbed that gave vent to so many world status acts. Indeed, Mike Hopkins’ act Way Of Life, pre Quartz, featured no less than a pre Led Zeppelin John Bonham on drums. Prior to their 1st album, the band had already proven their mettle with the single releases & tours supporting AC/DC & Black Sabbath. The Sabbath connection proved a useful ally. Sabbath’s tour manager Albert Chapman took over the business reins whilst guitarist Tony Iommi lent his skills to producing the band. Even Queen guitarist Brian May handled lead on 1 track. Keyboard player Geoff Nichols joined Black Sabbath later on.
songs:
Stand up and fight, Charlie Snow, Can't say no to you, Revenge, Stoking up the fires of hell, Rock 'n' roll child, Questions, Wildfire

HUGHES THRALL: LP Glenn Hughes (ex- Trapeze and Deep Purple, Black Sabbath) CHECK 3 VIDEOS
GLENN HUGHES Play me out LP [THE VOICE OF ROCK] ex Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Trapeze. Check VIDEO
original vinyl on Safari records.
Play Me Out is the first solo record by former Deep Purple and Trapeze bassist/ vocalist Glenn Hughes. It was first released in July 1977. The album marked a definite change in style to Hughes’ hard rock albums with Deep Purple, moving into a funk and soul inspired direction.
Hughes had originally planned to release a solo album prior to Deep Purple splitting up.
After Deep Purple fell apart in 1976 Hughes returned to the album and started recording at the Lee Sound Studio in Pelsall. Hughes’ former Trapeze band-mates Mel Galley and Dave Holland supplied the guitars and drums, respectively for the album and in 1976 Trapeze reunited for a tour. The reunion was short lived and the US tour was not completed.
DIO: Holy Diver PROMO LP Check videos
Released on May 25, 1983, the album has been hailed by critics as Dio's best work and a classic staple in the heavy metal genre. The album was eventually certified Gold in the US on September 12, 1984 and Platinum on March 21, 1989.
In the UK, it attained Silver certification (60,000 units sold) by the British Phonographic Industry, achieving this in January 1986, at the same time as The Last in Line.
The original vinyl release had a photo-montage LP-liner, with images from both Rainbow and Black Sabbath days.
The cover was controversial, featuring a devil killing a cleric. Dio was quick to argue that appearances are misleading, that it could just as easily be a priest killing a devil, wanting people not to "judge a book by its cover."
The demon-like monster is the band's mascot known as "Murray" and is featured on several other Dio albums as well.
