singer on the albums “Naked Thunder” (’90) and “Toolbox” (’91). This band has also had another 2 albums

FRANKIE AND THE KNOCKOUTS: S/T [Collectable and shout after A.O.R PROMO LP on Millennium Rec.,
with inner. It later came out on RCA, due to huge demand. This is the band
that spawned Tico Torres, the Bon Jovi drummer. This is about as definitive an
AOR disc as you'll ever find. Very good songs like "Sweetheart", "You're
My Girl" and the rocking "Tonight" "One For All" and "Annie Goes
Hollywood". If someone wanted to define the sound "AOR", this is about
as close as I can think as a textbook example. It's entirely possible that
Frankie and his Knockouts are one of the most unheralded acts in all of
AOR history and this vinyl goes a long way towards making that case.
The influence they had on countless artists is unbelievable, as just listening
to this disc you will hear traces of so many AOR acts that followed in

The Storm". Also, when the band lets rip on the metallic "King Of The Rock" and "4th Of July", the results are
just short of brilliant. There's really not a bad spot to be found here and showed that when this band was good,
they were white hot. The musicianship if first rate and the production (by Michael Wagner) is crisp and clean.
This is one of those albums to me that never fails to get my blood going, as not a week or two goes by where I

[This is an ultra rare album that features a plethora of great musicians like John BONHAM (drumming on 6 songs) and Jimmy PAGE who is playing guitar on 6 songs and has also composed 6 songs. Jeff Beck is who is playing guitar on 1 song and has also composed 1 song ("Gutty Guitar)" Produced By Jimmy Page & Lord (David) Sutch in1970.
Sutch who died on Thursday, June 17, 1999 was the first long-haired pop star - boasting hair over 18 inches long. His early singles were mostly novelties for Halloween - seen by some as a precursor of acts like The Cramps and The Damned - or covers of rock and R & B standards. This man is a *real life* "Austin Powers"! He's also the inspiration for the character "Screaming Lord Byron" in David Bowie's landmark video "Blue Jean". This Union Jack painted Rolls Royce drivin', hereditary British Lord cum swinging sixties rock star assembled rock greats like Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, John Bonham, Noel Redding, Nicky Hopkins & more to play on this album "Screaming Lord Sutch and Heavy Friends". Droning like Kermit the Frog, often with mercifully volumed-down vocal tracks, "Screamin'" would "sing" while his "Heavy Friends" let loose a joyful noise where their instruments do the laughing that they themselves dared not do. Although his records were frowned on by critics, he was one of the first geniunely fun rock 'n' roll stars to come out of the UK before the arrival of the Beatles. Although never achieving chart success, his band - the Savages - were one of the most accomplished live acts of the sixties. The band featured stars including Paul Nicholas, Ritchie Blackmore and Nicky Hopkins. In 1964 he also set up an offshore radio station, Radio Sutch, whuch later became Radio City after he sold out. But in 1970, some success did come his way when he scored a hit in the US album charts with Lord Sutch And Heavy Friends. As well as featuring Blackmore and Hopkins, heavyweight support was provided by Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Keith Moon, Noel Redding and John Bonham. But alongside his music career, he founded the Teenage Party in 1963, which later became the Official Monster Raving Loony Party took up more and more of his time - and his income. Until recently, Sutch performed up to 250 concerts a year throughout Europe, helping to fund his future political ambitions, such as standing for the position of mayor of London - a dream he will now never realise] £40
